Terms and Conditions of Business

1. Definitions

1.1 "Company" refers to The Cathedral Catering & Bar Co., The Cathedral Catering Company LTD and cathedral-catering.co.uk registered in England and Wales with company number 15638916 and registered office at 29-31 High Street, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England, SP6 1AS.

1.2 "Client" refers to any individual, firm, company, or other entity that places an order with the Company. 

1.3 "Event" refers to any occasion for which the Client has engaged the Company to provide goods and/or  catering services. 

1.4 "Services" refers to all products and services provided by the Company to the Client.

1.5 “Goods” refers to all goods provided by the Company to the Client.

1.6 “Hire agreement” refers to goods and equipment loaned/hired by the Company to the Client.

2. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 By placing an order with the Company, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

2.2 No variation of these terms and conditions shall be valid unless agreed in writing by the Company.

3. Quotations and Orders

3.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. 

3.2 An order is only confirmed once a written acceptance is received from the Client and a deposit is paid as stipulated by the Company. 

3.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse any order at its discretion.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total quotation is required to secure the booking. 

4.2 The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the Event. 

4.3 Any additional charges incurred during the Event must be settled within 7 days after the Event. 

4.4 Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer, or credit card. 

5. Cancellations and Amendments

5.1 Cancellations must be made in writing. The following charges apply:

  • More than 30 days before the Event: Deposit Only

  • 15-30 days before the Event: 75% of the total cost.

  • Less than 15 days before the Event: 100% of the total cost. 

5.2 Amendments to the order must be made in writing and may be subject to additional charges.

6. Menu and Dietary Requirements

6.1 The Company will endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements if notified in writing at least 14 days before the Event. 

6.2 It is the clients responsibility to notify the company in writing at least 14 days in advance of any guests who have a food allergy. We will endeavour to provide them with a suitable choice of dishes that will be prepared, cooked and served separately from other dishes.

7. Delivery and Setup

7.1 The Company will deliver and set up the food and beverages at the location and time specified in the order. 

7.2 The Client must ensure that the venue is accessible and has the necessary facilities for the Company to perform its services.

8. Liability

8.1 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses or damages arising out of or in connection with the provision of Services. 

8.2 The Company's total liability for any direct loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the provision of Services shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client for the Services.

9. Force Majeure

9.1 The Company shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, bad weather, war, strikes, or labor disputes.

10. Complaints

10.1 Any complaints must be made in writing to the Company within 7 days of the Event. 

10.2 The Company will endeavour to resolve any complaints promptly and to the satisfaction of the Client.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. 

11.2 Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Severability

12.1 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

13.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Client and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
